Sopranos...worth the time?

I have never watched the first episode of The Sopranos. In general I enjoy Mob/Gangster/Godfather type movies. Before I invest a lot of time and knowing that the very last episode left a lot of people wanting, what say ye brothers (and sisters)?

Go or no go?

GO!!!!!! I enjoyed every season of the Sopranos except for the final season. One of the best shows ever made in my opinion

I didn't start watching the Sopranos until they were in reruns. Definitely an excellent drama in my opinion. It would be important to watch it in sequence. Awesome characterization and well written plot. First rate production values. Good cast. ( I still haven't seen the last few episodes.)

Yes it's worth seeing, if you are committed to watching the whole series...

In terms of best series ever, that is a bold statement, but it IS very, very good.

Watch it all, I loved almost every episode, IMO I would rather not have seen the last episode and made up my own ending lol

The first season was GREAT! The next couple very, very good. The last two season, not so much. I highly recommend you watch it.

Now I have a strange craving for Baked Ziti!

i didn't start watching til the second season,then had to go back and watch the first season to catch up. but after that it was a not to be missed show for me!

Heck yeah you should watch it. There was only one sucky part of the series and that was the last 10 seconds of the last episode. I could have filmed a better 10 second ending, but que sera sera...

I never missed an episode. I know I'm in the minority, but I loved the final episode as well. May not be the best series of all time (tough to beat MASH), but it's is certainly in my top 5.

Just for kicks, did anyone ever try to figure out what the cigar was that Tony is smoking during the intro? I know it had a red band, but I don't think it could have been the CAO Sopranos stick, since it didn't come out for awhile. Anyone know what it was?
