Hello Brothers!

I have just begun life with a fully functional humidor and a pleasant, albeit currently small stash. (Had my Man o War last night to celebrate the closing of another school year, the beginning of the summer, and as sort of commemoration to the woman I love).

Here's my question.

When I first came to this site, I mentioned how my roommate's dad was able to get me a box of 50 Dutch Masters Palma (cheapos) and a box of three Monte Cristo No. 2's.

Is there any issue with storing them in the same humidor?? Or should I even bother with putting the DM's in the humi?

Many Thanks!

They're not infused so there should be no problems putting them with nicer cigars. That said...have they been in a humidor up to this point? If you've had them a while and not kept them humidified, then I'd chuck 'em. That's just me and if you like 'em, by all means put 'em in the humidor and fire away . If you don't really care for 'em you'll find they'll just be taking up room you could use for stuff you enjoy or new stuff to try.

Thanks! I think I'll probably be giving them to a few of my friends, but i'll light one up first to see if they're at least SOMEWHAT palatable. Many thanks for the input.

Yeah super cheapies like that should probably go in a tupperware. Anything machine made, short filler. Im not even sure they would benefit from humidification so i agree with above they would just take up space.

Can't say that broad assumption applies to all machine made, short filler in my experience.

I picked up a box of Romeo y Julieta Perfectos from 1999 along with some cash on a trade from a guy on some exercise equipment figuring they would likely be crap (even for a cubano) but an OK quick smoke. Man was I wrong. The 10+ years of aging really made these quite good. I don't mean good for crap. I mean GOOD compared to a lot of other stuff.

Now, I'm not gonna compare a cuban short filler, machine made smoke to a lowly Dutch Master, nor would I'd say it likely those will age nearly as well- so I'd say chunk that crap. LOL.
