Next time I'm in my B&M I think I'll pick up some small cigars (the kind that comes in tins) for occasions when I don't have time for a regular sized cigar, but would really enjoy a smoke. I was wondering how you guys store yours...do you just put the whole tin in your humi or do you take the cigars out?

I love small cigars, perfect for my commute to work or a quick time out. i take a few out and leave some in the tin, (easier to stack that way). i do notice they benifit more from aging outside of the tin.

I was wondering this too. My gf will sit outside with me while I smoke, and she smokes (cigarettes..eww). And she's always griping about how it takes her 3min to smoke and me an hour and a half. I was lookin to get some of these guys so she will stop whining.

Thanks, I usually arrange my cigars largest on bottom and smaller ones on top anyway. I was just wondering if there was any benefit of keeping them in the tin (kind of like tubos) :dunno:. Seems that taking them out would be the simplest.

I smoke alot of the Davidoff Winston Churchill Spitfires and I just keep the tin, with the cigars in it, in my humiidor.

Pa,
I take mine out but keep the tin in case I want to take them some where. That way I can carry them safely and pass them out to buddies if they want some.

What ones are you looking to buy?

I can't see it making a huge difference one way or another unless you're planning to store them for a long time.

That being said, aging cigars directly in cedar boxes inside a tupperdor is the fastest way I've ever seen for "aging" cigars. if you want to slow the aging process, or keep them for getting too much cedar, you can store them in bags inside your humi. I'm not sure if a tin would have the same age-retarding effects as a bag, but I'd guess not as there is more airflow in a tin.

BTW--I store my little "tin" sticks inside their tins in my tupperdor, fwiw.
