Hard to believe it's been 25 years since the shuttle Challenger exploded. I still remember coming home from school for lunch to my mother in tears watching the news coverage.

May her crew rest in peace.

I was traveling in Asia when that happened. I remember reading about it in the newspaper in Sri Lanka. Long time ago, that.

Yeah, we had a half day at school because of snow that day. When I came home my mom told me it had just happened. It is hard to believe it has been 25 years now.....

I was on duty in the military (comm center operator) when that happened. We had a tiny portable TV in the communications center to pass the time when it was slow and my supervisor was watching the launch coverage, and I remember coming back in from a bathroom break and my superviser was like 'holy sh!t - you missed it - the space shuttle blew up'

We sat there for the rest of the day and watched the re-caps and the coverage of the search-and-rescue for the remains.

I remember watching it in school. Remeber first time a civilian, a teacher, was going into space. then when the shuttle exploded the teacher turned off the tv and we just sat there for a couple of minutes then back to our books. Just remeber all the staff being real sad and all the kids just asking what happended.
