Any of you guys listen to gadgets that require portable headphones (earbuds)? I'm about to have to replace my Sure E2's after only about 9 months. I was really disappointed that the E2's lasted only 9 months. I had before that (twice) the Sony MUR-EX7s which were considerably cheaper. To tell the truth, for the money or otherwise, I think I prefer the Sony's. I have never been able to see how they are in the long run because my puppy has seen fit to make them a chew toy. I'm not opposed to the idea of spending more than the E2's, but I want to make sure it will be worth it. Any suggestions??:widemouth

One side started going in and out. At first I could just reposition the wire and it was fine. However, I knew that wasn't going to last. Thanx cvm4.

That happened to my Sennheiser PXC300 noise canceling headphones! The wires starting going out by the thing that holds the batteries because I would be using the headphones every day walking to and from work and wearing them at work too. They were great while they lasted but not built for so much wear (more like sitting around on an airplane).

I use my Etymotic ER6's now, they were on sale for like $65 at one point. I also have a pair of altec lansic inMotion earbuds that use the same technology that were around the same price. They are just a little different sounding but both are good. :music:

Shure has very good customer service with regards to warranty repair.
They usually just send you a new pair and an envelope to send back the old ones.

From experiece - Shure customer service kicks ass. I have absolutely trashed microphones and preamps and they've replaced them. I had an SM 57 mic that I smashed so hard that the pop filter was flattened, and they STILL replaced it. Give it a try.

Only thing is, I got them from Amazon. They were brand new mind you, but will that matter. May try this anyway. Thanx for the info. :blob:

It's warranty on the product not from where you bought it so you should be fine.
