Is it like a prerequisite to drive like a moron? I love the people that do 60 down a snowy road, well I have 4 wheel drive. :angeryell

Even with a 4x4 sport trac that we have you still need to stop!

I got an 04 Sport Explorer and I don't dare try to do 60 in the snow. I take my time and go with the flow. Its not worth wrecking it and hurting myself or some one else. I think your right tho, most SUV drivers are idiots. There are always a few of them off the road around here when it snows.

Not all people who drive SUV's drive like that. I'm one who doesn't.
I know, we have an SUV as well.

I was making a generalization that I think is a good percentage true.

I always love to go in empty parking lots and hit patches of ice when it rains and get real cold. Hella fun right there! Last time I got to do that was 2-3 years ago :crytears:

When I was in high school, my car was a '73 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Because of the rear engine, I had to do doughnuts backwards. Still fun!

I used to work at a dealership and the most amazing vehicle I've ever driven in the snow, no matter how badly I drove, was a Cadillac Escalade. I hope I fall into some money soon.

I am driving a Jeep grand Cherokee right now and it does great in the snow.

Nothing will go in the ice. Cant steer, cant stop.

But I did have to put it in 4 wheel drive last night and now it is stuck in. I had to drive it today on the cleared streets in 4 wheel drive. Gotta get it fixed in the morning.

i drive a little s-10 4x4. its a pretty good truck in snowy weather but i take it easy. a few sandbags in the back for weight. but theres no reason to do 60 down icy roads. leave a few minutes early, take your time. 4 wheel drive doesnt help you stop..

I used to do that with my old Mazda pick up. The weight really helps. Of course I'd take it out when I wanted to do some donuts. :jitb:
