Fliping through the New CA, I found an advertisement for the new My Father Cigars factory, and in it features four cigars. The Tabacos Baez Serie H is a new one to me and I have not found any info on it anywhere. Has anyone heard anything on this? It says it was rated an 89 by CA but there is no record of it on their website. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw this as well. It is somewhat odd as Pepin told me himself that that had already changed the TB to a habano wrapper. so why the H? I assume the H stands for Habano...

So this is different then the Serie SF I'm assuming. That came out not too long ago. Maybe a typo or something? I haven't read the article.

Smokin one now & I gotta say I'm pretty impressed. This is a long filler stick that is much better tasting and behaving than the 'SF'. It's rich with cream and a bit of pepper. While not as refined as the original line, it definitely has a bit more 'richness' to the smoke & taste if you know what I mean.

I felt I had to speak up because I haven't found much of any info online about this stick & few retailers carry it apparently. I can only assume at this point that Pepin was using a smaller batch of wrapper that was pretty tasty & perhaps didn't have the budget to release something with a nicer band, etc.

I don't know what these cost as I got it for free in a sampler with another recent purchase. I reccommend giving it a try!

Got one of these last week at the factory. Will try to smoke this weekend if this cold holds off. I'm intrigued too, now that I think about this line.

I loved the original TB. Probably smoked 100-150 of them. I also tried the "H". It fell way short of my expectations. Just not near the same taste.

Smoke them since they came out... I like it quite a bit!
It's a nice stick, good flavor, burns great and is long filler unlike the SF.
It's got a bit of a kick to it... so it's interesting. I've had 4-5 of these already... I like it!!

Goes for 6-8 bux and comes in 3 sizes I think (only seen 2)

I picked one of these up the other day at the B&M. I hope to try it soon once it warms up.
Are they keeping the original or are the SF and H replacing it? The original TB is one of my favorites. So much so that I just bought 2 boxes each of Favoritos and Monarcas and 1 Famosas. Very good value for the bux.

I picked up 2 more boxes each of the Monarcas and Favoritos (4 boxes each now). The Famosos are one of my "go-to" favorite sticks when I can't decide what to smoke. Last evening I thought I'd try a Favoritos (belicoso) just to compare. Well they don't compare! The Favoritos doesn't taste anything like the Famosos. It's milder (expected, larger ring) but hardly a note of pepper and spice. I'm trying a Monarcas tonight and I hope it comes through or I've got 8 boxes that I really don't like that much. Was that a stupid move or what? :frown:

is the famosos the robusto? That is one great smoke in my opinion....
Well i look at it this way... if you don't want em, send em my way,
or bomb the hell out of some brothers... if your boxes are unopened, you
may be able to trade them out with the retailer that you originally bought
them from provided it hadn't been too long!

I bought 4 boxes of the SF at once from Rocky's Cigars because i thought
they had a typo on the price of the regular Tabacos Baez.... Well the joke ended up being on me, but they allowed me to return 3 of the boxes for a refund because i called them the day my order arrived.

A-hole sites like smoke inn won't let you return anything, but i guess it depends on the retailer...
