I think I say this for all of us, when I say the release of the 7th Tatuaje was very welcomed this year. I know the second I heard about them, I was stoked. Finally, a corona gorda with one of the greatest blends out there. And to add to that, there would be a regular production broadleaf version!!!

So after smoking a few reservas, I decided to give the natural a shot this morning. I really didn't even plan on snagging some naturals due to the experiences I have had when Pete gets his hands on some broadleaf. But so far the reserva has been slightly disappointing to me. It is lacking in the flavor department and strength. when compared to the other reservas Pete has put out in the past. So now that I have smoked both versions, I must say that the natural has treated me better than the reserva. It has more spice, more flavor and this nice little mintiness towards the end...

so Brothers... what is your opinion?

EDIT: I would have added a poll, but the option wasn't available for some reason when I posted this.

I've gone through almost a box of each, love 'em both. But there's something about the 7th natural that makes me reach for the naturals first over the reservas. Love the size, love the regular brown label blend, it's just a great cigar.

I bought a sampler of all then new Tats when they came out and after trying all of them I decided on a box of the 7th Rs. I feel that they will only get better with age.

This is because Cigar Cowboy recently aquired rights to the BOTL polls. You need to ask permission and pay fees to create a poll now....

I completely agree. I was really stoked when the 7th came out, and more excited about the reserva. I have to say after smoking about four of each, I perfer the natural over the reserva. I'm sure time will do the reserva some good though.

After enjoying so many of the Reservas, I grabbed a natural to try out. It was getting such great reviews that I was really looking forward to it. I have to say, it was nothing short of a disappointment. I'll stick to the Reservas!

Interesting you guys say this, had a reserva when it first came out, was probably the worst cigar I've smoked in a year. Thats a big statement from me, tats are the best. 99% of what I smoke are tats. But it was just plain gross. BUT I'll give the brand the benefit of the doubt, it may have been my palette, or the fact it came from a never shopped at before store in a sampler, or that it was just way too fresh.
So i'll have to revisit the blend now that they've had time....if this has been enough time...?

Gotta go with the 7th Natural over the Reserva. I have enjoyed both but the Natural gets the nod here.

Tried the Reserva the other day, and it was just lacking in flavor. It burned well, but not much other than that. Will have to try a natural next week.

Digging a thread up from the grave.

Was just curious as to what is the production of these two cigars like? Are the naturals regularly produced and the reservas limited? I prefer the 7th naturals and am looking to pick up a box of them next. Anyone know where to get a box for a good price? lol

all three capas, the original "brown, capa especial, and reserva are (currently and hopefully for the forseeable) regular production items, albeit subject to OOS's. any of our vendors will have fair pricing, this is NOT a deep discount item, but if a site is running a special promo on the entirety (groupon, flat percentage, etc.), it may be the time to scoop them up.
