Was wandering around my local libation store yesterday looking for something new/different to try in the premium section.. and came across this stuff:
http://www.prichardsdistillery.com/whiskey/single-malt-whiskey.cfm
A Tennessee single malt whiskey, made in the Irish tradition..
Never have seen it before.. but the store had it marked down from $49.00 for a 750ml to $36.00 as a feature/sale item.. so I thought I would give it a try..
I was pretty impressed..
very smooth, slightly sweet, with hints of vanilla and caramel.. went great with the RP Vintage 1992 I fired up after dinner..
Pretty hard to beat at $36... (honestly, it would be pretty hard to beat if it were in the $50-$60 range I think.. I would easily put it on par with some of the more common premium whiskeys like Blantons Single Barrel, etc..)..
Anyone else ever try this stuff?
