oh my! the first half of all that OT hit my check today,,, that, and the 42.5 hours of sicktime i sold back = a double paycheck!! looks like my daughter gets a laptop for christmas! and, for me, a box of R&J EL 2007!!

once a year you are eligible to sell back up to one week's worth, depending on how much sick time you used. i took one day off sick last year, so i was able to sell back an entire week! if you use 5 > days during the year, you are not eligible.... tis the season!!!

Yes, as a Civil Servant, we too can sell back Sick Leave. What most of the folks do in my City is save it towards retirement. When a couple of Department Heads and our Chief of Police and Chief of D's retired, they each sold back in excess of 2000 hours. Add to this Deferred Comp...

We can't sell our days back (teacher) but once you hit 120 sick days accumulated, they start paying you for every one over that. I am at about 90 days right now.
