I was watching a little bit of the Chicago Code on Monday night, and there was a scene in which an alderman is meeting with the police superintendent's chief of staff. The chief of staff notice some cigars on the coffee table and asks if can have one. The alderman says "Sure, they're Cuban". Cut to the box and it is a glass top Cohiba box. I think to myself, those might be cigars, but they sure as hell aren't Cubans. Anyone else ever catch obvious fakes in tv or movies?

I know in Hellboy 2 one of his superior gave Hellboy some "Cuban's". They looked kind of crappy.

At the beginning of the movie "The Breakup" a guy looked to be smoking a CAO Gold.

I caught that as well.

Cohiba Esplendidos I believe.

It was pretty funny to see now that I am learning more and more about cigars to realize that they were fakes.

[Burning Man]

I saw a re-run of the Sopranos where Tony Soprano gives his neighbor a box of Montecristos. The box looks OK but has no seals at all and the guy smokes them with his dinner guests that same night. I couldn't help but thinking he should let them sit for a while or he'd be tasting Windex. The sticks were way darker than the Monte #2s that I have seen.
