So, I am getting married in about a year (10-10-10) and finally got the woman to break down and allow me to call my friends in Australia - Its time to get my own 'presents' as well as a few for guests and a few to :: cough :: test :: cough :: - I am not like most here, I have had very limited exposure to Cuban Cigars. I had a Montecirsto 2 and Cohiba Robusto - I highly enjoy the Cohiba and plan on definitely getting more. I am also looking at the Romeo Y Julieta and Bolivar Gold (price)
I currently prefer a more medium body - Leather/Nut/Wood preferred notes. Current favorites are H. Upmann Vinatage Cameroon - Illusione 88 - Cohiba Robusto (of course haha)
Any ideas or thoughts please let me know. I am looking at picking up 20-25 so please, any and all let me know

Thats my biggest worry - I have my own Cohiba Robusto for the day and it has already been sitting for a year and a half or so - But I don't want to give out rushed sticks haha
At least its a better idea then swishers eeh?

Partagas 898 Varnished, Churchills De Luxe, Partagas PC Especiales.
Punch Super selection No.1's, Coronas and Punch Punch
ERDM Lonsdale & PC's

You may even want to give the Hoyo line a try as they fit the description you are looking for.

San Cristobal El Principe, small (Inexpensive compared to the CoRo) and very tasty.
Partagas Shorts (See Above)
Hoyo Epi #2 a robusto that is woody/nutty

The advice above is worth twice as much as you paid:grin:

wow - thank you all so much for the great advice. As of right now I am thinking 3 Cohiba Robusto (of course!), 3 Cohiba Maduro 5, 3 Romeo y Julieta short churchill, 3 Montecristo No 2 (one for the fiances dad <his favorite> and two for me to "test"), 3 H. Upmann Magnum and open for ideas, 5-6 more open spots

The Bolivar Royal Corona is one of my favorites - my preference in NC are very similar to yours so I can honestly say you should like these. If some of your guests are not cigar smokers think about getting tube versions for them. For the occasional smoker I keep a box of 10 the the Romeo Y Julietta Churchill in tubes - pretty mild and looks great.

Ye've a way to get singles at a proper price? If not, just get a box.

P.S. NO LINKING SOURCES

Yes, I was able to make some friends in a Country most people don't even look at in the cigar industry, and don't worry I wont link to anyone! I read the rules : )
They are actually very decently priced, 3 pack of Cohiba Robusto 50 bucks, or a single for 16.99 - Single Montecristo No 2 is 13.69 and a box of Romeo y Julieta is 299.75. Main kicker is they charge 20 bucks for S&H for anything under 25 sticks. Over that I think shipping is 30 or 35 usd.

If you can find them, either the cohiba sublimes or the cohiba pyramids LE 2006. Trust me no other cigar in the world compares !
