I just watched the 3rd movie in the Millenium Series and it was great. The whole series was awesome. The 3 movies are The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest. This series was originally a series of books found after the author had died. You have to watch all 3 to get all the answers, there are so many twists and turns its crazy. Definantly not for kids!

Oh and there are rumors of a 4th complete book and maybe 5th outlined before author died. His wife and other members of his family are fighting over the rights to them.

I wish I could read... I fall asleep at any book :( I bet reading them would be much better.. I am glad someone else watched them... none of my friends will because they are subtitled... i think they are being rediculous

Normally I don't care for subtitles and almost turned the first one off because of it. Then I just got drawn in and had to watch them all. Hollywood is gonna mess it up. Danial Craig (hate that guy, refuse to watch him as Bond) will be playing the reporter. No one can match the personality of the girl in the Swedish movies, they would have to find an unknown actress.

Not to get off topic, but Daniel Craig plays the closest Bond of them all as Bond is in the books. Book Bond is different than movie Bond.

I'm a big Bond fan. I've read all the books (even those not written by Ian Fleming) and seen all the movies. Connery is my favorite Bond. Try and give Daniel Craig a chance. He plays a pretty good Bond.

Back on subject...

I have read the the Millenium Trilogy and loved it. It really was hard to put down. I read the trilogy pretty quickly and was sad when I finished it. Even though I've heard good things about the movies, I'm still hesitant to buy the movie as I have my own interpretation of the book in my head and don't want to deminish it buy watching someone elses version. It was such a great book. I also share CAJoes concern that Hollywood will probably mess it up. They usually do. We shall see....

Don't be turned off to these because they're also dubbed if you so choose. Normally I can't watch dubbed movies because of the poor synching (can you say kung fu movies) but they did an excellent job with this series.

Hmmm, thanks for the information, CAJoe. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is readily available on Netflix for instant streaming. I passed it a few times without a thought, but now I'll add it to my instant queue.

The 3rd was awesome! It answered any questions you have and tied it all together.

Joe, I agree. The first two were more visceral while this one just watched as everything just floated to the surface. The coolest part about it was she would never have been able to pull it off were it not for being a survivor and Mikael.

Let's face facts, Noomi Rapace was BORN to play Lisbeth Salander. NOBODY is going to stack up to her and despite being a huge fan of David Fincher, this is going to be totally different. NOT GOOD!

Bummer.........

Noomi Rapace was perfect for that role, no one will be able to repeat it like her.

Dragon Tat was the first in the series. The movies were great, and I'll watch what Hollywood puts out, just to see what they can do. I read the books and they were great. I don't know if watching just the movies would have been enough, I'm glad I read the books first so I had more background on the story first. Plus, I having read the books first, I didn't have to pay too much attention to the subtitles. :)

Just watched the Hollywood version and it was decent. Long and drawn out. Swedish version definitely much better. The original Lisabeth was much darker and solitary, this one was more outgoing and clingy.

Never understood why Hollywood thinks they have to change things that are good in order to make a movie. Her character was the base of the whole series
