This is how I "prioritize" my cigars...

Sometimes I’ll get bombed with a single that I really want to try. Or I’ll get a 5'er that I have purchased that I have been yearning to sample.

I place these loose sticks in the "hot box".

The hot box is an empty Henry Clay box that I've had for probably 18 years. It's strategically located in the middle of my cabinet (for consistent humidity), and right at the front (for easy access).

It’s kinda like the on deck circle for my smokes.

It’s also a way to combat the “out of sight out of mind” problem. After all, how many times have you looked through your humi and gone, “Holy cow! I forgot all about these

So….Now I have two hot boxes! >sigh<....So many cigars, so little time.

How do you prioritize your cigars?

I have an entire 28 bottle Vino that is my "waiting to be reviewed" container...When I am about 2 weeks from reviewing something, I put it in there...Of course, some I never get around to (yet)...I use this vino since it stays a constant 65/65...

The everyday smokes go into the humidor in the living room, everything else goes in the cabinet in my office.

Great idea and suggestion Clint. I need to do something for as soon as I pick up a single or two that I am hoping to smoke, I buy another and before you know it, 3-4 months go by and sometimes even longer.

I am going to steal shamelessly your strategy!

What are some of your everyday or "go-to" smokes Larry?
Everyday "go-to" smokes: El Cobre Robusto and Toro, Origen Originales, RP Edge Toro and Lancero, Ambos Mundos Robusto (both wrappers), Cuchillos Cubanos - ~40~ & ~46~, and now the "El Picador!"

Keep in mind that my everyday "go-to" smokes are almost always sticks that are $5.00 or less. And no, I don't smoke all of the cigars mentioned above everyday! :cbig:

Anything I have a few of and have never tried typically is on top in my humidor, with cigars I want to wait a while to smoke on the bottom.
