Call me a chick, but I thought this was a good movie. Anybody else like it?

Also, am I the only one who obsesses during movies involving time travel about how they don't make sense/aren't consistent?

Yeah, I'm a nitpickin' science geek that gets a little wound up when Hollywood tries to go scientific but then gets it horribly, laughably wrong. One time travel movie that comes to mind...and it was kind of a stinker, to boot...was Time Rider. If you remember the movie, where did the pendant come from in the first place?

I liked The Lake House, too...but then, there are quite a few "chick flicks" that I like.

Time rider: the adventures of Lyle Swan........Gods, that movie was bad.

In fact, my brain actually repressed that memory until you mentioned it. Now I am having flash backs from 1982 of Fred Ward riding a motorcycle through the desert with a moto-cross helmet that has built a in night vision visor.

I think the pendant was given to him by his mom or something, and he gave that to the chick in the past.

Need to go have a drink..........

LOL...sorry man. The pendant was handed down from his great grandmother, the girl he got busy with in the past (which made him his own great grampa)...and she got the pendant from him before he went back to the future. So, if she got it from him and passed it down to him through the generations...who made the damn thing? :lookaroun

Oh...and did you like Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins any better?

Another awful movie. Maybe we should just hijack this thread and turn it into the "Best bad movies ever", thread.

Remo Williams made my head hurt too. Although I would say my favorite all time bad movie with Fred Ward would have to be "Tremors".

Not alot of time travel in that one though......

Yeah, pretty dismal. The only redeeming feature was Joel Grey.

Since we've already started the threadjack, my vote for best bad/stupid movie has to go to The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension. So blatantly campy and over-the-top it was funny.

Haven't seen it, but since time travel was mentioned, check out "Deja Vu" with Denzel Washington. I thought that was a pretty damn good time travel movie.
