So I live just off the Roanoke River and today is going to be a tense day. It has risen up to the base of our backyard and there is a flood warning until 1pm or so today. The gf is staying home sick today so I have someone on site to let me know if we need to make a dash to get everything upstairs before the water gets to the house... We still might lose everything in our basement, crap, it was fine last night and this morning total mayhem. The workers that have been installing the greenbelt path next to the river may just have to redo all there work... I hate rain!

Let me know if you need any help or anything, somehow I missed this post earlier. How are things looking up that way? The rain has slacked off down here in Cloverdale, did not get a chance to go down by the river the morning, Craigs creek was rolling though.
No but the water raised to within fo foot of the first floor ceiling! Yikes!
It is almost to the street on the right hand side and in the backyard just entered the yard, thank god on a slope there. I don't look forward to the effects if it starts to rain again. The sump pump in the basement is working overtime!
