Today I had a meeting with Nate (The smoking Samoan) the owner of Badgers Cigar Den in Schuylerville NY. I gave him a Panacea 760 and told him on average I would get about 3 inch ash intervals, he decided to put this theory to the test.

Halfway down and the ash is holding strong...

And finally all the way down the band, probably about a 6 inch ash. So basically a 6x60 ash

Unfortunatly when pulling the band off the ash finally went, look at that carnage

Great day down at the Den! If any of you are ever in upstate NY and looking for one of the nicest lounges to visit then look no further than Badgers!

He wasnt planning on going for a long ash when he first started but after about 4 inches and the ash still hanging strong he decided to see if he could get it all the way down to the band. Next time though... bandless

Last time I attempted a long ash I made it almost all the way thru the cigar, till it fell on me, and I was shirtless. Hot end left a mark for a few days.

Nice Ash !
Not to hijack your thread, but when we were down in Nicaragua for our Cigar Tourism trip one of the guys smoked his My Father down to the nub, then to see how strong it was he turned the thing sideways....it held ! It was a My Father Cremas

I love long ash photos, it just amazes me sometimes at the construction from these newer cigar makers.

Up to the first picture he was smoking it completely normal. But to get all the way down to the band he had to go with the almost straight up and down method. Although it was turned sideways and tested a few times.
