There was a fire about a 1/4 mi from my house earlier today. Parts of the area evacuated and everything.. Ugh.

I know a bunch of people in Bastrop, one who lost his entire home..

Yeah, they're estimating 700 homes lost, and Bastrop's not a big community. Think it's only 5000 folks or so.

Drove near Bastrop yesterday and could see the smoke.Its horrific. I am from a small town called Magnolia which is also on fire. They have been fighting fires for a couple of days here as well. I have a ton of friends and family affected by the fires in this small town...

We were evacuated from our home yesterday because of a fire in northern SA. Our street was evacuated but most people ended up coming back home after a couple of hours. Helicopters were hovering all over the place.

Spots of Temple, Tx are on fire as well. I could see them from the hospital windows of the hospital I work for.
