As I was packing to go back down the shore I opened up my 24 count cigar caddy. I come two find 3 CCs missing along with an Opus. At first I thought I might have taken them out but remember I didn't smoke much last weekend due to a cold. So, I put last weekend back together. I am hanging out down at my g/fs shore house that she shares with a lot of other friends. Two guys and a girl were guests of another. I was haning out out with them all of Saturday night, bullshitting, giving them beers, etc. Later that night cigars came about so I grabbed my caddy and gave two out. They asked some questions about cigars, asked if I wanted anything for the ones I had given, I said no.

Well, low and behold, I have to assume one of them went into the bedroom and took four of my cigars. Now it's not the cigars that bother me but the ability of them to be friendly all evening with good conversation and then just steal from someone like that. The kicker is they are both active military.

Well it gets a bit better, it was only 2 CCs. The ones I had shown him. The other two were in my two finger case. Makes a lot more sense. I guess he could have taken the whole caddy but was being nice and just took my ccs

Never make excuses for a thief. He wasn't being nice, he was being smart.
If he took the whole caddy you would have noticed a lot earlier.

Thats sad.:sadpace: very sad.

You sound like me and probably most of the guys on this site. I give away cigars becasue I enjoy watching other find out the pleasure of enjoying a fine cigar. Most of the time they are volunteered but all you have to do is ask.

To give away your best and then to have them pilfer from their benefactor is just wrong. I agree...hang em.

My Dad made one HELL of an impression on me while I was growing up.....he used to tell me there were 2 things he despised, and if I became either or both I would be a poor excuse for a man let alone get my ass kicked.....that was a liar and a thief.
I don't care the worth or how minor....stealing is stealing and a cowardly piece of shit act!

That's bullshit...and from the generousity that I've seen around here, I'm sure that if they had just asked, you'd have gladly given them a couple more smokes without them having to steal. Sorry you had to meet up with a couple of pricks like that.

What a shame. They stole 2 CCs and a couple of other sticks. If they had only shown an interest and some appreciation, they would probably had more willingly. But I've learned that people only expect others to act as they would. So I'm guessing they weren't very generous people.... Sorry Tom.

They would be shitlisted in my book... in that position I would have given the cigars to them without a second thought, but stealing from someone is just shameful and shows they are a coward. As has been mentioned, "karma is a bitch" and things always work themselves out later!
