A buddy of mine came across this. He paid like nothing for it, told him this cigar today would easily fetch over $100 per stick and probably more. The band looks good and I actually suspect this vendor might be getting real bands and putting them on fake sticks. This vendor is a B&M vendor who I do not trust. I apologize for not getting a picture of the full size stick, I can probably get one shortly if you guys want it.

Yes, it is out of backroom of a B&M on long island located in Suffolk County. Since he sold my buddy this stick, I will no longer be using this vendor for any cigar, period.

Them selling fakes has nothing to do with their NC stock so I wouldn't be so quick to make that decision.

CO Smokes, i agree, the coloring looks off as well.
Jayro75, pm me and I will let you know if you are correct. I purchased them for a friend.
I was thinking of one in Nassau that does this shamelessly.

i am more pissed off that the vendor was so dishonest.
I hear you but it's a common thing in this industry. Move past it and pretend it didn't happen especially if they are convenient for you to go to. Thank god the one in Nassau that does this is not convenient for me because besides selling fakes they also double their humidor as a smoking lounge which is unforgivable to me.

... but EVERYTHING to do with their approach to business. that sucks.
Not necessarily. What if they are buying these as a service to their clients that want CC's who don't have a source and the shop is being duped by the supplier of these since maybe they don't know any better. Now they are doing what they thing is a good thing for their business and customers but unfortunately because of a lack of knowledge etc. they are selling fakes.

It's easy to judge others from far away but you don't know the circumstances. Neither do I but I'm not passing judgement on their business practice.

If you are a cigar shop in the US who sells CC, your first job would be to make sure you are selling the real ones. You guys spotted it quite quickly, and with fairly easy resources to find on the internet. They either are not very bright in finding fakes, or they are dishonest.

You do make a valid point Jay, but I think the likelihood of him peddling fakes and deceiving what are loyal customers is much greater than him actually being duped himself.

I would never support a shop that sold fake cigars. I do not support dishonesty in general or the fake cigar industry. If you buy NCs from him, you are giving him more money to buy more fake cigars and sell them to your friends...I don't find that acceptable. That's just my opinion, I fully respect anyone else's opinion but it's not going to change my mind.

Seems like an all around shady shop, don't think I would return. I've had a lack of knowledge on one visit turn me off of a shop, let alone the selling of fakes.
