What a horrific tragedy. This brought back terrible memories of crash 5191 that killed 49 here in Lexington,Ky. a few years back. May they rest in peace....

I heard on the radio last week that the US had just made it a record amount of days without having any fatal crashes from a major airliner...it amazes me that 2 years would be a record with as many flights there are everyday.
This is a very sad day and my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.

unbelievably, one of the victims was the widow of a 9/11 victim. that family has had much more than their share.

We babysit for a nieghbor who is a flight attendant for continental airlines and she was flying out of newark last night. She was schedled for a route to Mumbai India, but you never know if they called her and switched her up at the last minute. She landed in Newwark yesterday at 1pm by the time this had happened her phone was off and hopefully she was sleeping. Neither her husband or us was able to get a hold of her. I'm not going to be able to sit still until I know our friend wasn't on that plane.


Edit....confirmed our friend was not on that plane. PRayers go out to the survuvors of the victims of flight 3407.

Just another sad event in life that should awaken us to make the most of the time we have left in life,,,,life is precious and for those who had friends and relatives on that flight my thoughts and prayers go out to them as well,,,so tragic.
