Regarding CAO as a brand: I used to love them years ago. I've smoked a lot of their recent stuff and haven't been wowed like I was with the OR extreme and l'anniversare (sp?). There is a lot in the range though and they have some solid performers, but it is hit and miss in my experience over the last few years. I can't speak on the flathead and the recent automotive themed sticks as I haven't been overly compelled to pick them up with so many other good releases from other companies and isoms.

Smoked a Flathead Spark Plug at a herf in June (thanks to one of those crazy animals, maybe PSJC?). I enjoyed it, though the draw was a little tight. I like the Brazilia and I recently had an Extreme I enjoyed, but I too am hit or miss with them.

I've been gifted a flathead here I've yet to try. I love the triviata line- almost always pick up a few when I'm in a b&m. Others in the line for me are good not great but I'd always burn one. With one exception. I've never been into any store where the Lx2's weren't moldy. Ever- like 25 different stores. So I think there's a problem with them and I'll be staying away. I like the mx2 and so forth though. But I stay in the triviata line for the most part.

I enjoyed the La Traviata I smoked, and CAO Gold was the blend that got me into cigars. That said, I'm pretty over the Gold, and the few other random lines I've smoked in the past year I tossed about 1/4 in.

I've enjoyed the Mx2 the most. I like the black line a lot and the brazilia, too. Never had a flat head. I grab them when they're cheap and smoke them when I drink. Heavily.

I thought the Piston (6x42) was a good smoke. I pulled out a LX2 Lancero that had some age on it and it blew me away. So much that I bought a box to put down for a wee while. On another note, I haven't found another CAO that I enjoyed. Actually, the La Travieta might be on my top 5 worst smokes list.

I am just the opposite. I used to smoke Blacks and Cameroons but I haven't had either in quite a few year. I didn't really appreciate any of the X2 series, but never had any with any age on them. I do really like the maduro La Traviata though. And that's the beauty of cigar smokers, as many different tastes as there are cigars.

If I recall, wasn't there a change in the blend or construction of this line? When I first started smoking cigars I went through about 3 boxes of them. Really enjoyed them as a 'value' cigar. Then they changed something about them and it was never quite the same.

I've had the Brazilian in the past year and a spark plug last week, thoroughly enjoyed both wouldn't mind finding a sinister sam at my b&m

Loved the Brazilia, the red label maduro, original gold label. I will have to explore these again. Kinda what I have been doing lately is going back to sticks I smoked boxes of then moved on.
