Titanic 100th Anniversary

Anybody else grow up with a fascination for Titanic? I remember reading book after book on it when I was a kid (long before the James Cameron love-story version...). The specials on National Geographic channel this week have had some incredible insight as to what happened in those fateful hours.

Tonight marks 100 years since the sinking. If I happen to be awake in the late night hours, I might just wander outside to feel the cold crisp air...

I too have been interested in the Titanic since i was a kid !!! I have been fascinated with the engineering/mechanical aspect of her and her sisters !!!! I have read every book i could find about the Titanic and her sisters !!!! When in was younger, i even had the chance to meet Dr. Ballard !!!!

On the topic...I always get suckered into watching anything that has to do with vessels that sank. Love history/science off that stuff. The Titanic is one of my favs. Wife doesn't care for those shows so I recorded it. Can't wait to see how the auction goes for the recovered artifacts as well.

Just watched a special about them mapping the whole wreck area with automated submarines. They followed a pre-written course and took hi-res video of the area. I think it would be amazing to work a project like that.
