Opened this yesterday as I had some friends over who I figured might like some wine ... but they opted for the Foster's and Sam Adams. I opened and decanted for 30 min and then poured a sample. The aromas were almost non-existent and the flavor was like sour water. So I recorked and put back in the shelf. I was almost ready to pour this down the drain today, but figured to try again.
On re-tasting ... I was taken aback by the aroma. I could definitely smell some nice fruit now, but behind this there was something I can only describe as rotting vegetables and cat pee. Wierd stuff. :crosseyed
The flavors were also much better - mostly tart cherries, strawberries and raspberries. Still, I think this one is past it's prime and headed downhill.
