Opened for 1 hr and did the "shake". Color is dark garnet / purple. Very good, but the aromas were somewhat restrained and the taste was bold, but sharp. Re-sealed and tried the next evening ...it's much better IMO.

Jammy, dark fruit aromas with vanilla, cedar and violets. Big, complex fruit flavors that totally coat your mouth. Just the right amount of sweetness and acidity. Secondary flavors of dusty chocolate and mocha. Looooooooong finish and a touch of heat on the end. Lordy, lordy ... if you like massive, complex wines, I don't see how you could get any better for $20.

This is a Shiraz / Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot blend. I drank this first with my dinner of home made vegetable fried rice. Then had a second glass afterward. I must say it was a bit much for this dish, but the sweetness did complement the saltiness of the fried rice nicely. I think this would pair much better with some wild game or some thick beef stew + dumplings.

A wine-freak friend of mine turned me onto the Mollydooker Boxer Shiraz. I'm not a big red fan because the histamines in it make my allergies go nuts (I actually have to pop a pill BEFORE drinking it or my breathing gets labored), but it's very good.
