I just returned from 5 days in Stowe, Vermont. It was a rather frigid week by my standards.
Typically I will smoke at least one cigar or bowl in my pipe every day at home in the Orlando, FL area. Usually when I travel I can find a B&M close by to get my fix. However the place where we stayed did not offer an indoor smoking area and there weren't any smoke friendly bars or B&M's close by. I took a walk one evening with the temp around 5 F. I tried smoking a couple of cigarillos but really all I did was fight a drippy nose and try now to burn a hole in my gloves. It was unfulfilling at best.
I feel for all of you up north that don't have an indoor or heated space to smoke your cigars and pipes inside! I would definitely have to build a man cave hut and smoke in my car if I lived in a place like Stowe.
The good news is that the skiing was great, the people were great and the good was delicious. I will definitely return again in the next couple of years.
Tonight I am back on my porch and enjoying a Headley Grange Drumstick. Jon Huber and his crew are so down to earth and friendly that I wanted to enjoy one of their creations and savor the moment.
Cheers to my friends up North and may warmer weather come soon so you all can get outside and smoke it up!
