i just got my hands on a un opened box of olivia O bolds with the blue wrapper ( maduro ). the back of the box says 2002 as the shipping date. i know they were a 5 year old cigar to start with so that makes mine 13 years of age. i cant find alot of info on the cigars othere then most people think that the new O is just the same with a new box and band. i have smoked both and this is a much better full flavored cigar. should i smoke them of hold on to them as an investment. if anybody has more info that would be great.

My advice would be to smoke them and enjoy them. It's hard for me to look at NC cigars as an investment. Those are very good cigars you have but don't do much good sitting in a humidor. Life is too short not to smoke what you have, good cigars.

Just curiosity on my part, why not NC's?

But I do agree that you buy cigars to smoke and enjoy them!

They are rolled to be smoked! Not sure I would ever turn this hobby into an investment personally.

I wouldn't be able to save them, I would light one right now! Seriously though I would smoke them, light up a couple a year for the next few years.

Larry, there's no international market for vintage or collectible N/C cigars like there is for Cuban cigars. Perhaps I shouldn't say "no". Rather, there's such a SMALL market for collectible N/C smokes on the global level.
