Went out for drinks at the local cigar bar with a buddy tonight. I had a H. Upmann Connoisseur No.1 (thanks Tubaman!) and a Tatuaje Havana VI. The Upmann was very smooth (like all of the Habanos I've tried so far) and enjoyable, but I had to relight it a couple of times. I hadn't tried a Tatuaje before, and I was very impressed with this one. It actually tasted a lot like the Cuban cigars I've tried lately, full of flavor but very smooth. It wasn't as spicy or powerful as the other Nicaraguan smokes I've had recently.
I bought the Tatuaje the last time I was at this cigar bar. Their pricing is bizarre: the Tat was $10 (which seems reasonable for a bar) and tonight they had some Tatuaje Cojonus (brown label) for $15, which also seems reasonable. In comparison, a Padron #3000 goes for $12 and an AF Hemingway Signature is $17.
I also brought some cigars for my friend tonight: he picked out a 5 Vegas A Anomaly and a Padron #2000 Maduro. He seemed to really like both of them. It's fun to introduce someone to a great cigar (or two)!
