So as I was sitting outside enjoying my "Today's Smoke" I came up with an idea. There are a lot of cigars posted on there that probably many of the brothers have never seen or smoked before, including me. So ,I had the idea to do a mini review of what your smoking. Nothing fancy, just if you liked it or not and what you liked or didn't like about it. Then have an overall rating of the cigar.

Ratings
1-Lawn Mulch
3-Worth A Try
5-I'd Buy 5
7-Split A Box With A Friend
10-Buy A Box

I know there are many cigars I've saw that I would like to try but didn't purchase because I didn't know if I would like it. I know it's simple to go on Google and search for a review but its always nice to get more than one opinion. Also, it's seems like most of the reviews are cigars being smoked ROTT. Maybe the one you smoked had some age on it or you paired it with something that made the flavors pop.

Example

Overall 3
Had almost 1yr of age.
Burned nice and billowed smoke. Had notes of wood, leather and chocolate throughout.

Share your thoughts on the idea!

not a bad idea, although you will probably not get this into a standardized thing. you will see frequent pushes for people to give more than a pic and "PCR NOM NOM NOM", for example, probably a couple times a year.

sometimes you just want to share the moment, not dissect it. some are lazy, or afraid to commit to a real review-style statement of flavors (and i am frequently both). and there is more than a little "hey, lookie at me!" especially as the brotherhood here gets it. try explaining it to your significant other and see how long it takes before the eyes glaze. o)

then again, it never hurts to respond with a "hey, how are those". open the dialogue. i've found a few that way.

and thank you for the reminder!
