Josh, which vineyards are you going to? The Bully Hill tour is a lot of fun. Unfortunatly the wines aren't what they used to be.
Sarah's family has 2 lake houses on the west shore of cayuga lake...so a few friends and us are going up for the weekend. we'll tour on saturday, adn spend the rest of the weekend drinking, smoking (a few of us anyway) and in general causing a fair amount of debauchery(sp?).
we'll hit up the west shore of Cayuga, and the east shore of Seneca. to name a few, Wagner, CHateau Lafayette Reneau, Lucas, Knapp, Swedish Hill, Lakeshore, Americana, Gosse Watch, Sheldrake, Bellweather (one of our friends loves hard ciders), there are more, but those are the ones which quickly come to mind.
Unfortunately, I agree with you on Bully Hill, the vast majority of the vineyards in the finger lakes have caught up/surpassed the Hill. It should be fun though, we're looking forward to it, especially since 2006 was such a great year for wines (and cigars to now that I think about it...maybe there's something to that?:glassesgr )
