Almost everybody is experiencing colder than normal weather right now. Today I decided that i would try one od the 858 rosado.. It is so cold outside in Colordo that the wrapper would not heat up to burn. if i went inside it would burn perfectly. So it looks like my next cigar will be on Sunday, because i really don't enjoy smoking indoors.

Living in vermont, i have gotten use to it over the years. It still sucks though but i get through it with a space heater and the use of the pool house.

I've noticed this winter that my wrappers are exploding more often in the cold.

Not only have I noticed burn issues in the cold, but cracking as well. Also, I think my palate just doesn't pick up as much flavor in the cold.

Will the cold cause the wrapper to kind of fall off? Cold to me only being 40ish. The last 2 nights the wrappers have come off and i didn't know if the 40 degree temps do that or I have some other issues.

Wouldn't you like to know?
I don't smoke out side in the winter very much but if I am working outside I will grab something and smoke. For me I kinda like the cold but I don't go outside specifically for a cigar below 40. That said I have enjoyed some cigars smoked in -25 weather, I just try not pick great cigars that I will miss much on as I am usually outside doing something else at the time like walking the dog or shoveling. And yeah you may have issues with burn or wrapper cracking but sometime it doesn't matter as it is too cold to take the cigar out of your teeth anyways.

Garage and space heater is your friend.
Up here in Canada, Insulated coveralls and a touque also! at minus 20 Celcius the space heater just takes the chill off! but the cold won't stop me from still enjoying a Cigar. :ccowboy:

In my house, I either smoke in my study, bedroom, or computer room. There is no way I would go outside in this weather just for a smoke.
