I am working on gettin a coolidor set up. Do you rip the tops off the cigar boxes for airflow or leave them on? If you leave the tops on, is it best to close them all the way, leave them cracked, or what??

Leave them intact and closed for better storage is what I always do. I leave them cracked open for maybe a week when I first buy them if sticks feel too wet or dry to acclimate to my coolidor RH. Otherwise I leave the sticks closed up tight in the box or cabinet. If you want to, use a singles tray for a few to get to quickly.

I bought several old cab style boxes from the local b&m and cut them off to approximately 2 inches of wall height to use as trays. Then take all cigars and load the trays. Cheap, Lots of air, and they stack well in a coolidor!
