Anyone else off of work today? I ran outside the base here real quick into what we call the "alley". Well there's tons of little shops there and a few do custom woodwork for real decent prices. So printed out a picture of a small cabinet, the montegue end table to be exact, and asked a couple if they could make it. The one guy that I heard is reputable said "no I don't trust the woodworking skills of my men to make it air tight enough for you to be happy". Least the dude was honest because the other guy I asked said yes and it can be made out of whatever wood I want. As far as I was told by the man reluctant to make it, they only can get beech wood, no spanish cedar or mahogany. Which means the other guy was lying.
Also on my trip out there I saw the same guy selling cigars. His little table says "real cuban cigars". His cohiba boxes are the worst attempt at counterfeit I've seen. They looked to be printer paper with some sort of a cohiba motif wrapped around the lid. Next time I go out there I'll snap a pic and hopefully not get stabbed.
