One question that was never answered:
Where the hell does Optimus Prime's trailer go when he transforms.

ummm, helloooooo, it transforms into the Combat Deck!!!!
It's their mobile HQ and even has a robot attached to it that shoots shit up. Also has that little buggy guy who's like Optimus' little butt-buddy. And a big antenna so they can all talk.
At least that's what it does in Generation I, IIRC.
