Hello Community,
A long commute or road trip is more enjoyable when you take along a travel mug filled with your favorite beverage. Personalizing the mug is a great way to turn something ordinary into extraordinary, even if you are limited in your crafting abilities. Make a gift for a family member or friend or use it yourself in the car, train, plane or just walking. The mug can also be used as a planter or container.
Select and Personalize: Travel mugs are usually made of heavy-duty plastic for reheating and to keep the liquid either hot or cold. Choose a mug without a company or brand logo and use permanent markers to write the mug owner's name, monogram and/or favorite or funny saying. Some have slots for pictures or photo inserts. Add stickers to complete your masterpiece for extra pizazz.
Handle as ID: Travel mugs often get lost or misplaced in transit. Dangle a colorful luggage tag from the handle with a small chain. Include the owner's name, address and telephone number on it. It is better than writing this information at the bottom of the mug where, most likely, it would not be detected if found.
Other Uses: When the mug owner decides to replace it with another, do not discard it. The mug can be used as a window shelf planter for herbs or a container for tea bags, stirrers, sugar packets or pencils and pens. It can have a second life as a receptacle for paint brushes too.
Best Regards,
