Trying to find the right cigar at the right price!

Ok everyone, excluding the cheep sticks and high dollar ($15) ones, what is your opinion on the right cigar for the price. I've tried alot but haven't quite made up my mind and there are still alot I haven't tried. Where is the cigar loaded with flavor without the biting the tongue. Ample flavor not one dimensional? I know every palet is different but there has to be a favorite among all!!:thinkidea

You hit it right on the head there. I tell people at the shop every day, "each cigar in this humidor is awesome, and each cigar in this humidor sucks." You just gotta take the time to find out for yourself, no short cuts on this one.

Lower than $15 bucks a stick. There's alot to choose from so I just want your best opinion. Nothing worse than blowing your dough on a guess !!

One cigar????? I don't think I have smoked the same cigar more then once every couple of months, other then a few exceptions. Why would anyone want to choose just one. Isn't choice half of the fun.

The right price for me is between $3 - $4. I'll buy a fancy smoke every so often at a B&M, but you can always get better deals online.

Padron 2000 maduro (5x50) is one of my favorite $3 smokes, and a lot of other people seem to like them too. I like pretty much anything made by Don Pepin, and you can usually get them in samplers for $4 a piece. Olivas are loved by most. Oh, I recently smoked an ITC 10th Anniversary robusto that I received in a bomb (very nice smoke) and saw they sell for $3/piece by the box. One more is Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte (usually less than $3). Surely you'll like at least one of these, and they're all worth trying!

I'm pretty new to cigars, but so far one of my favorites is the Fuente Short Story. They sell for 5-6 dollars

You will notice in the B&M the expensive stuff is always there, alot of it has been there for years, not that it doesn't sell, just cigars there is a great market for. When I do make it into my B&M, I average 4-8 bucks a stick, not afraid to try anything new, and rarely pick up anything I have had before, I grab those online now.

Cigar Aficionado said it best, the market is just flooded now with well made, quality cigars at all prices. The cigar boom was a scary time.

Just remember that the next time you go to your local B&M and it's closed for good as everyone has been buying their cigars online, cause they found a better deal. I've yet to see one online vendor who has nice comfy leather chairs and serves me drinks.

Try the Cain's or the new brickhouse. Both around 5-6 a piece. I love the cain's and the brickhouse are growing on me....Have not come to a conclusion yet but for $5.60 not bad.

Also, Tabacco Baez SF or regular are good low priced options. The Taboo line is good as well. Also, the Holt's Verocu #9. is a great stick and if you can get them on sale they are right at $5.00

But then again, you may not like any of these. The good thing is, it will not break the bank to try them.....

I really enjoy the Oliva Series V, also RP Edge maduro is always a tasty stick at a reasonable price!

The sweet spot for me over the years has generally been around $3 - $8. In this range you can find a huge variety of quality cigars.

Where is the cigar loaded with flavor without the biting the tongue. Ample flavor not one dimensional?

What cigars have you enjoyed the most so far?
Which ones have really turned you off?
While some pipe tobacco blends have given me tongue bite, I've never really found a cigar that did this.

Remember that even the same cigar can provide a different experience with slightly different flavors on different days.

I know every palate is different but there has to be a favorite among all!!

It is precisely because everyone's taste is unique that you will never find a universal favorite cigar ... or ice cream ... or soft drink ... or coffee ... or ........

that's like asking what's the best cola out there? everybody has a different opinion. sure, coke is the biggest seller, that mean it's the best? For me the CAO Lx2 and Perdomo Habano Corojo are two good sticks. but the right cigar is the one you are currently enjoying

Yea...I wasn't really asking for myself...Just wanted to see if there was a majority favorite. So far Oliva is winning! I know everybody has different taste...Just trying to find out what wins in that catagory of price range is all.eace:

Oliva defiantly has the best bang for the bucks. I like their G series Cameroon. Those are a main stay in my humi.
