Seems like a bit of a random resurrect...Yeah I would buy from them if I had a promo code. Same reason I don’t buy at Atlantic. Just don’t know where else to snag Atabey and Byron.
Yeah, resurrected 'cause I have been looking for a place to buy Byron and Atabey and they came up as the primary source, so I was searching for codes and this old forum post was all that came up.Seems like a bit of a random resurrect...
Haven't bought from 2 guys, but Atlantic s regular prices, selection, samplers and service make them well worth buying from. And their membership is well worth it for the further price break. It's kinda crazy that we've gotten where we'll only buy from places with a code or free shipping. There's probably times where the total price difference isn't much when it's all said and done. With some places, you may get out cheaper without a code than you would with a code elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind.
Oh, I'm the same, but some of the particular ones I buy (VIP) at Atlantic are rarely found cheaper elsewhere. And talk about straight up no bs customer service. Good on them.Yeah, resurrected 'cause I have been looking for a place to buy Byron and Atabey and they came up as the primary source, so I was searching for codes and this old forum post was all that came up.
R.e. pricing, I hear that. I can be a bit of a deal hound. It's hard when 90% of my 700+ cigars were acquired at around half of their MSRP. Atlantic seems to offer standard pricing or slightly below average in a few cases. But with steady discounts at a number of sites like Neptune and Famous, as well as auction deals (MMAO / Cigar Auctioneer/ Cigar Bid) or Thompson's 5-pack specials ($80 5-packs for $22), the prices usually come out well below Atlantic's. I reached out to them about VIP and they said it's really only worth it if you're buying lots of boxes FP or are keen to purchase a lot of early releases. I mostly purchase singles or 5-packs unless the box's MSRP is half off or something. There's only a very few things that I haven't been able to find with deals, and I'm so used to them now that I struggle to pay the MSRP on those items on other sites (e.g., Caldwell Anastasia or The Last Tsar, Atabey, Byron, etc). I've even gotten mega discounts on LE Davidoffs, Padrons, Opus X, God of Fire, aniversarios, etc. Maybe I'll just have to suck it up on these few lingering items, but I can't help but compare their price to the number of discounted items I could get, like the God of Fire Aniversario 7-inch salomone at $20/stick, which to date is the best cigar I have ever smoked.
