Pretty simple.
If you could have a wish list of all things awesome in your next house, what would the list look like?
The bar/vented cigar lounge is already in the works. Geothermal is out due to not having enough acreage left on the property.
3 car minimum garage is done as well.
Run with it guys lets see what the ultimate house looks like after botl has it's way with it!:cbig:

Most people I've mentioned this to thinks it's stupid, but I want a hidden entrance to my mancave. Like the old spinning bookshelf or something.

depends on what climate zone it's in...

here in jersey we have 4 seasons so my home would include redient heated floors and heated driveway.

basement would contain game room with 2 bowling lanes, arcade games etc. a lounge room with pool table and bar (for party's) a theatre room for 20, and a poker den with built in humidor surrounding... from basement you could walk out to back lower patio with pool house etc...

the rest of the house would be open floor plan for the most part, deck off first floor with hot tub, top of the line kit. breakfast nook etc. 5 bedrooms alot of baths

other than attached 4 car garage, would have seperate 1500 sq ft shop with heat, AC, and water. also a detached inlaw suite!

this would be a good start point and i could go on 20,000 words on specifications as it's my trade.....

Yeah I don't know what they were talking about, but that sounds pretty damn cool .

now it's a meth lab...
Where he lives that is not that far out of line for the area.
No joke , they're everywhere. Aaron and I have joked that if we got fired or something we could certainly resort to turning out some quality product.

Many an afternoon have I spent daydreaming of a man cave...big screen, fully stocked bar, "reasonably sized" walk in humi, poker table, pool table, dart board, kegerator...

How about a dumb waiter for having snacks sent in from the kitchen?

I like the hidden door idea but where would it lead too?

Meth lab central is over 75 miles away. in Lake Elsinore We have lots of people with small agricultural projects in their garages though.

My neighbor hood is filled with nice productive members of society. While most of us are potheads, most of us do it leagally and we pay sales tax on our pot....mostly.

If we're talking dreams here first off I would have either become wealthy via useless product idea, or lotter. First thing I do is buy large piece of land, at least 5 acres, and call the nearest Cat dealer to order an excavator.

I guess I could do home/property features in a list.

Pond (deep enough to be used for geothermal loop, if not I'll dig my loop area with my excavator!)
Stone/brick home
Hardwood floors
Full size basement
Dedicated brewing space
Over the top bar
Large cabinet or walkin humi
Wind turbine decent sized
Some solar panels to supplement turbine
Full house backup generator (diesel)
Out building/workshop/shed/biodiesel processing area
Central house vac setup
Dual zone geothermal ground and second level
WIDE doors at least 36" I hate using a shoe horn when moving stuff
Tankless hot water probably two setups one for each floor
Two chimneys to have multiple fireplaces
Full size fridge and full size freezer in kitchen
Pro stove/range in kitchen
Service pit in regular garage
Driveway that goes around the side or to the rear of the house
Secret subterranean rooms scattered on the property (reason for excavator)
Large garden
Large commercial double door fridge in man cave for cold bottle storage
Commercial keg refrigerator under the bar
Built in wine racks in basement

Those are the significant wishes I have.

Ooh and Justin I do believe you can still do geothermal only it'd have to be a well depth system. They are expensive to drill, but do not take up space like the closed loop systems.
