Undercrown FLying Pig

So I came across a guy willing to sell a almost complete box of Undercrown Flying Pigs to me. He wants one out of the box so I would get 11 and the box. He wants to me offer him a price on them but I don't know what to offer him without insulting him. Any ideas brothers?

I imported several boxes of these from the Netherlands at 174 euros per box. That's roughly $240 a box.

I personally feel the "make an offer" is crap. If I want to sell so.ething I know damn well what I will take for it, and what I wont.... why not just ask for a price?

Offer what your willing to pay. Singles are worth probably $20 a stick not much more

If you don't know the guy $15 will seem lowball. I'd offer $18-20 stick if I were you. If he balks at that just tell him that you understand that he has a limited product but it's simply not worth it to you. If you want just one offer him more for a fiver or a couple singles if he rebukes your initial offer, but thats only if scoring some is important to you.

As a reference... I purchased an unopened box from a guy last month and we went back and forth on prices about 10 times. Eventually I told him that 300 was as high as I would go. They are trying to sell them on Ebay for like 1000 "buy it now" and I havent seen one box go at that price in like a year. He hummmed and hawed and eventually said yes. After shipping and what not it was about 24 a stick which I deemed worth it to me. It's a little steep but it was something I wanted around for very special occasions.

Thats an excellent point. If the guy starts talking about outrageous ebay asks or a few wackjob websites that have these listed through the roof you should point out that people can ask whatever they want on ebay but that they're not moving product. Don't be afraid to play hardball. If he wants some ridiculous price then what he's basically saying is that he doesn't really want to sell them but he's willing to let them go only if he can rake you over the coals.

I don't know how long you've been in the hobby or how many expensive sticks you've smoked - but how many sticks have you had that were worth more than $15? $20? $25? If the answer to any or all of those price points is "none" then you should know what your cut off point is.

$20-$25 per stick is about cost for most guys who got them. Anything over $325 for the box, I'd pass. (Actually I'd pass no matter what, there are too many amazing super-premiums in that range that are far better, IMHO).

Not sure what is worse. Someone selling a box worth over $100 for 4x the price or the fact that someone will actually pay that for it.

One thing I have learned about LE's is that there is always another one coming out. It's so bad I haven't felt like I am missing out on one because for every one I miss there will be 10 more coming out.

I agree with this comment 110%.

A slight premium is fair imo, but people reselling any recently made LE at such markups is offensive.

The -ONLY- time I feel it is appropriate to pay so much is when the cigars are being sold to support a charity.

I am gonna make you feel better. It's shaped like a tiny dick and tastes like an Undercrown. Bam! I just saved you hundreds! Haha! Seriously, I've had one and its an Undercrown. It's very similar to the Gordito for me.

I figured that's what it would be. I mostly just wanted a few for trades and stuff like that but at 50 a pop, no dice!

People really get caught up in that flying pig vitola. They sure do look nice in the humi, but I'd never pay over $20 for any of them. The FFP is worth it though
