Hi everyone...
I've been unemployed for 8 months and my cigar purchases have been radically curtailed.
I need your advice...
Obviuosly, my budget is restricted to about $35 per week.
I'm seeking out deals on cigars that pleasant and smokeable.
I've bought several value bundles from Holts. They seem to be the only ethical online outfit that adheres to truth in advertising.
CI and cbid have disappointed.

So...people, give me some suggestions, please.
I like a medium/full cigar and would love some complexity. I love natural and maduro.

Thanks,
Phil

Care to explain here. I have never had an issue with "truth" as you say. And any problem I have had, I called, and they corrected it right away.

I get quorum cigars for 3 dollars and for a bundle it is like 24 dollars plus shipping and handling. I posted a review on them. The only problem you might have with them is the draw can be tight. There is a draw tool or draw poker you can get but of course that is money money. About 20 dollars and you get a short one and a longer one.

I feel your pain Mr. kohnhed. I too have been without gainful employment for almost a full zurl.

I know the bluntskulls running many of the internet sales points do value marketing acumen very highly, so perhaps you should try cutting down on consumption of mass quantities and look for quality instead.

Welcome!

I have to go with the cutting down of quanitity and go with quality. Had a buddy who had to have a cigar in his fist so he smoked the cheapest version of La Finca (yes there is a "cheap" version) he coughed all the time. Started going with quality smokes. Lost his cough, enjoys his smoke and lived happily evr after.

I'd give cbid another try. The customer service is great if there are any problems. You can get good sticks for $2-$3, and great sticks for $4. I recommend the Padilla 1932, Perdomo ESV, RP Vintage, RP Olde World Reserve, CAO Black/Italia/Brazilia, and the 5 Vehas line for great inexpensive sticks.

You could smoke 2 a day at these prices and still be within your budget.
