It's official! I will be moving back to South Dakota this summer.

I and the family are headed up this weekend to settle on a place and get the offer process rolling along. Hoping that everything goes smoothly.

We have been doing a ton of research and have narrowed our options down to about a dozen places we want to look at and decide between. Always exciting to make this sort of decision!

PS - for those of you with pending work, I'll be reaching out to you individually with your new place in line, and new timelines for when I will be able to get to you. This will put a 2 week hold on all production. My apologies to all of you who are waiting patiently for me to get started on your projects.

Look for those Short sales and forcloseures. Some guy just bought a house on my street for 150K. It totally pissed off the guy across the street who has his up for sale for 320K. We live in a tiny HOA, and it most likely devestated the values in our Hood.

Where are you moving?

I spent from 1987 to 1993 in the Rapid City area. I still have very good memories of all the outdoor activities in the Black Hills and surrounding areas. But it was sure cold up there.

I'm actually goingto land somewhere in or very near to Sioux Falls... so the opposite end of the state. I grew up there and am anxious to get back to a place that feels like home to me.

We found the perfect place guys!!! We are very excited!

The place we found is in my wife's home town, and had only been on the market for a week. Everything was a perfect fit for me and my family so we made a generous offer which was accepted last night with no further negotiation.

Now let's just pray that the appraisals and inspections go well... if it all works out we'll be back home by the end of June.

OH... we made it in time for the tax credit! Sweet!
