Urgent! Best liquor store in north LA

Gday fellas, need some help from my fellow US BOTL. My sister in law is currently in LA until next tues (we're from Syd, Australia), cant remember the exact suburb but its north LA, and she asked if i would her to bring me home some scotch. i said heck yes seeing as its cheaper to by 2 bottles in the states than it is to buy 1 here, but where would be the best place for her to get it for me? the only place i know of round there is hi-time wines, i was going to have it delivered to her hotel, but they couldnt guarantee it will be there in time.
any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Not that I can be any help with liquor stores in any of them.....just curious

Unless you're looking for something rare, tell her to try the duty free shops in the airport, save her a little bit of money.

and I'm after Glenmorangie Lasanta and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, do you reckon they'll have that at the duty free shop?

might want to check how much she can bring back as well so she doesnt get hit with import duty. also if she has a connecting flight that has to go through security, she will have problems.

I agree....Total Wine is one of the best places that cater to carrying most liquors that we all like at a price that is pretty good. I live in Ga and it's the only liquor store I will go to because their pricing is always the best.
