USB Hubs

Can anyone reccomend a good hub? With my new iPod I need another port. I also think I might have a power issue as I loose functionality one one hub when the iPod transfers. I am thinking a powered hub would help that.

I've got a 5 port powered belkin hub I used to use frequently on my mac mini and it worked great. They are all the same as long as it supports USB 2.0.

Ditto. Anything out there that supports USB 2.0 and is powered should do just fine.

USB 2. is the shit. It's better than firewire.

USB2 is required for the ipod anyway, so make sure your hub has it and your computer as well. You can short things out (either the computer's usb or the ipod).

The belkins work pretty well. The travel ones come with an AC adapter so you can use the power if you need it.

You can get a USB 2.0 card from Fry's Electronics for about $6 bucks.
