So I was at the store the other day when I saw some canisters that are meant to be used to hold flour, sugar, ect. thatt reminded me of the tat black jars. I was thinking about buying one, sticking a humidification puck on the lid and using it as a humi. Should this work with no problems? Theres a rubber gasket around the rim of the lid so the seal seems pretty good and it looks like it could hold ~20 cigars in there.

I am sure they will work just fine. I have seen those for sale as humidors before. Jut keep them out of the direct sun.

Long as the seal is good, the material won`t corrode or impart some sort of odor and the size is right, it should work like a charm.

The sky`s the limit with cigar storage IMHO.

I store my bulk pipe tobacco in those stainless steel jars with the mason jar type lid, works great and keeps the tobacco fresh for a loooong time...

I have a set of Montecristo jars my wife uses to hold flour. They were originally humi's.
