i use click n ship all the time and have little problems. BUT....... i've been expecting a pkg for a week now. it was sent last week, priority. i have them sent to my office. so today, i'm looking out the window and see the mail truck pull up and put mail in the group box out front. no package. i go to lunch and come back and open the mailbox. there is a delivery notice...sorry we missed you. BULL SHITE. call the post office and say what gives. their answer....... we are not required to deliver the package to your door unless it is signature required!!!! but to top it off....SHE HAD THE FKNING PACKAGE IN HER TRUCK WITH HER! so, i can't even go to the post office to get it til saturday, which means i'd have to make a special trip up here before noon. otherwise it will sit in the post office til monday. is it any wonder this stupid organization is losing billions of dollars every year?

Yeah I had the same experience once where I was waiting for an important document and was "tracking" it since it was shipped. It was coming through customs so I didn't know exactly when it would come but saw that it cleared and got to my local processing facility so figured it would be the next day. I did work from home the next day and was happy I would be home for my package that I had to sign for. No knock, nothing... so in the afternoon I checked the DC# and it said "attempted to deliver!?!" BS! I was home the entire time and not once did they attempt to deliver it... simply left a note in my mailbox which is 4 houses away in my neighborhood.

But your situation really sucks because you literally watched the mailman!?!

Overall, I am happy with USPS because it's faster than UPS or FedEx ground and I usually don't have any issues.

I think postal workers are similar to DMV workers as well as other state employees and are about to get a rude awakening.

Just because you work for the Gov't does not mean you job is guaranteed. When the private sector can do the smae work for less $$$ and offer superior customer service, then good bye USPS. I wonder what will happen to all those people who are living on Postal retirement money once they go bankrupt.

Sorry to hear your pain bro. UPS is always my preferred delivery method. They're great to work with and are faster than USPS. It may cost a bit more, but it's worth it in my opinion.

That's definitely a generalization. If you pay for the faster service or maybe don't have that far to go, they are faster. But if you are shipping coast to coast using UPS Ground, USPS is definitely faster even with regular first class as UPS Ground can take 6 business days. I live on the West Coast and USPS is almost always faster for me.

Although I won't argue that their service can be worth the extra money. :)

Brown likes to drop packages, Fedex likes to damage them as well. The only company I have not had a damaged package thru is USPS.
I had to call my PO this past winter and complain as the driver got out of his truck and decided that my box of smokes was a good thing to use to kick the snow off his boots:argh:

I ranted about them recently as well. But it turns out the customer service blows UPS out of the water. I had UPS deliver a package to the wrong person a week ago. The driver actually handed it to the wrong person and made note that he " left with man". I called UPS and they basically told me it's not their problem! Luckily the company I ordered from sent a replacement free of charge. Lesson learned. I will always use use fedex or the USPS from now on.

I got a delivery notice for a certified letter a couple of years back, so I go to the post office the next day to get it. Can't find it. Maybe it's out for delivery. Come back the next day....gone. Lost. I speak with the really bitchy station manager, who snotilly informs me that "the post office doesn't lose mail", and gets verbally abusive with me. She tells me there is no way to report a piece of certified mail as missing. Of course, there is, and I researched it myself, printed out the procedure, and presented it to her. I also reported her to the regional big-wig. Turns out I'm not the only person to ever have a problem with her. She doesn't work for the USPS any more. My mail was never found.

If you live in Philly and have to use USPS I pitty your soul. I don't feel one iota bad when I hear about cut-backs, closures, or job loss concerning this government funded circus.

Perhaps I should have used the term better, rather than faster. :tiphat:

That really sucks but like in all companies there are employess who do the job right and others who do the bare minimum. Sadly in today's postoffice its all about saving dollars and cust. service is suffering. untill the USPS stop losing money stories like this will continue.
