When I ordered from cigar international I had the option of choosing USPS.

You might be referring to UPS Surepost. CI/Cbid (same people) sent all their packages through that service. UPS delivers to the PO then they deliver from there. Cheap but so nerve wracking as packages using that service have been lost/misplaced for me many times over just sending through regular usps.

USPS can legally ship cigars. We do it all the time at PuroCigar.com. They will not ship cigarettes or smokeless tobacco.
