Entretiempos Petit Edmundo 52 x 110 (4.3") Petit Robusto
Decided to take one for the team and try the reinvented Vegueros. Havana Bobs had all three tins and sizes in stock. All cigars were foot side down inside of a square tin. All had very nice construction and bunches at the foot. I could have reached for any and feel that they would have burned the same. Not as grassy as the old line, quite the contrary a nice smooth earth and leather flavor that stayed constant throughout the burn. It was breezy on the island tonight but we smoked this inside of the shop so only minor touch ups were needed because of to much conversation and not enough attention to the cigar. Bob said these were the last 3 tins From IEPT, and he tried to order more to no avail. Maybe another raw supply shortage in Havana like the Upmann half coronas that came in tins for like 2 days.
The humidor was well maintained and stocked nicely. Some rarities were brought back from Havana by Bob personally...3 la Gloria jars, a few new glass jars, custom rolled smokes of all sizes, a few other new 2014 releases. Iept is raising prices again, and local cozumel business taxes are going up from a small amount a year to a more modern system...which will hurt the 2 legit shops and favor the sellers of fakes even more ;(.
Bob runs A really wonderful shop and is an all around cigar guy like all of us. If you are ever in cozumel I suggest venturing the one block off the town square and stopping into pick up a real Cuban Cigar.
Going to hit the lcdh tomorrow. I hear the owner has changed yet again. The same guy that owns the CanCun lcdh.
