Viaje 5th Anniversary

As a fan of Viaje, I'm really looking forward to this one. The box looks incredible. Anyone have any info on the size?

I haven't seen the box yet but the all white band with deep embossing looks sophisticated and classy!

And here I thought I was the only one who didn't get into the Viaje brand. I've had 5 or 6 at this point and have been really disappointed in all of them, especially considering the hype they carry (along with the price tag). :/

I've always liked viaje, mainly the exclusivo lines. The S&B's seem to strong but I grabbed a fiver recently of a Viaje Skull and Bones “?” (5 x 54) which was released in October 2010 and look forward to seeing if they mellowed at all.

Regarding the 5th Anniversary I'm looking forward to finding out more and if they look promising grabbing a few.

Yeah, I saw it on Andres Facebook page. Still no info huh?

This seems like the only site that Viaje gets hated on. Its too bad because they make some of the best cigars out there. And Ive been smoking 30+. I met the guy at an event and all I can say is Andre is one cool cat. Super approachable and filled with knowledge. If more of you actually met the guy you might be singing a different tune.

Anyway, any info on the 5th or Honey & Hand Grenades appreciated. I messaged Viaje but mums the word until these get released.

I would like to try these, though. I love the Exclusivo Lanceros, and most other Exclusivos to some degree. I love the S&B blends and Reservas, but feel they are too expensive at msrp. The Late Harvest is a recent find for me. I always loved the Platino Lancero.

Beyond those, I've been mostly disappointed in every Viaje since the amazing HB 2009. All good cigars, just over-priced imvho.

Yeah, I forgot about the viaje platino lanceros, they are killer. Problem is I can't find them anywhere or very easily. Got a fiver from NHC many months ago and that was his last of them.

Call Mark at Tower, he has them in stock and he will give you a good price...

I have never smoked one single good Viaje. I gave the guy a shot and chased down a few LEs and kept getting let down by either the horrible construction or just how awful the cigar was. That being said, maybe one day I will smoke one that surprises me. I really wanted to like this brand.

That is good for me. Just means more that I can smoke. Smoke what you like, I like Viaje.

I agree! I am not bashing by any means, I have smoked quite a few Viajes, I just didn't find one that agreed with me I guess.
