Viaje Exclusivo Leaded

I read about these a little while back and I was definitely interested in them, especially when I heard they might be one of the best Exclusivo releases to date. Much to my surprise, many others must have been intrigued as well. Even though the release was a good size (for Viaje), these seemed to sell out exceptionally quick. I was able to grab a few for myself at a local retailer (I missed out at all the online places where they were available apparently) and I'm interested to see what even the slightest amount of age will do for them. I've smoked one so far and while I thought it was good, I wouldn't even place it in my top 5 Exclusivo releases to date, but it was still relatively fresh. I see the potential in these though, which is better than I can say about a lot of other stuff I've tried. Who out there managed to get their hands on some and what's you opinion on them?

I grabbed a few. And have smoked 2, I have to say I really like them. However I thing the skull and bones that came out this year is better.

I understand what you mean, but before this release I had few issues with finding any new release. In fact, you can still find the DES 2 laying around on a decent amount of sites. I also know that some future releases that I like with be readily available as well such as the HHG, Late Harvest and maybe a few Summerfest or whatever the new Holiday Blend is. I got lucky in that my local is apparently becoming a full fledged Viaje retailer so I was able to pick some up because every other retailer that I've seen sold out in less than a day, which hasn't been the norm that I've experienced for the large share of Viaje releases.

I also tire of some of the high pricing but other than the MSRP of the DES 2 I think many of their sticks are commensurate with value. But of course full disclosure dictates that I mention that there are some stinkers in there as well. I can justify it often times because the price is still lower for most of their releases than most Liga and Unico products and is only slightly more expensive than the retail of Crowned Heads or Roma Craft products. So its kind of a wash for me as its in the same wheelhouse as a bunch of the other stuff on the market.
