Just smoked a 1960's Flor De Cuba that was gifted to me by Mitch (thanks Mitch). It was the first "vintage" cigar I have ever had. It had some amazing flavors that left a clove like numbness in my mouth. It wasnt the taste just the feeling? I was wondering how many other guys have had experiences with vintage cigars and what the thoughts were?

Nicely done, Mitch. I only know of one other cabinet of those in the states. Beautiful find. Hope you enjoyed the smoke and please (!!) post up a review!

I have others that I will post a review on, but for that first one, I really just wanted to enjoy it. That smoke enjoyed only with a glass of water on a warm night was amazing.

the ventage stuff i have had has all been quite good. Some Cubasn from the 70's and 80's and then a coule clear havanas from the 40's or so. I just picked up some Vintage American stuff, though not Clear havanas, as they used domestic tobacco. They are smoking wonderfully.

RusselP & I had a pair of Thompson & Co Clear Havanas tonight - I think Mitch hooked that one up, unfortunately I don't recall the dates on these, but I'm sure they were in the 70-year old range!

We went out to an excellent Thia dinner with a good group of friends to celebrate his & his lady's birthday and then retired to our house for a relaxing evening - Russ & I enjoyed these old beaut's with some coffee & Boylan root beer.

They started a little bitter, but by the half way point, they smoothed out & showed some nice creamy flavors mixed with some cloves, honey, vanilla and pepper...

These are the good old days.
